Another year has come and gone. Though I am quite a young-un and I know I really haven't got much to fear in the way of time, I was surprised by how quickly 2012 went by. Once you get out of high school your life can feel like it's blazing right past you--I couldn't believe how frequently I thought, "I just won't have enough time," and regretting how much time I used to waste when I could have really had it benefit me.
As the New Year approaches and the world collectively looks to the future for a brief moment, I write my resolutions knowing I'll have to sacrifice just as much as I gain. I want to pick up skills, but that also means I'll have to abandon pastimes that aren't essential. I'll have to focus on my career, but doing that means letting go of other dreams. Is all this the harsh reality of adulthood? It's a sour taste in my mouth--when I was small, I was told I could do anything I wanted, and for the most part that's still true, but what breaks my heart is that I can't do everything I want.
Okay, brooding over. It's time to get your head in the game. 2012 was the year I learned I don't have a lot of time. So damn it, I'm gonna make it count!

- Join a group that games together regularly
- Get rid of your gross acne
- Post on this blog regularly!
